Not all attachment parents are rich and entitled. My husband and I certainly are not, but this is how we parent. I'm glad to finally see a mainstream site pick up a mom-blogger I can relate to! Don't want to hear about AP? Well, there are a lot of other mom-bloggers out there to read.

Disgusted in NY - You do not have to be rich to stay home. I stay home because I think it's important, but also any job I could get would not cover the cost of childcare. Yes, we're broke most of the time, but it's worth every sacrifice to be with my daughter.

So I should hold my child at arms length in case I die suddenly? Anytime a parent dies it will be be difficult for the children that are left behind. However, this is no reason to wean early, sleep away from your child, and be a hard-ass with discipline.
